Welcome
Living in a low income neighborhood in Boynton Beach, Florida, my family and I saw firsthand the pain that inner city youth face trying to rise above poverty, domestic violence, promiscuity, family disintegration and chemical addiction that breed hopelessness in so many young people and families. The United States Goverment has spent trillions of dollars to reverse the spiral of social disintegration in America, yet the problems and pain still exist with each passing day.
I believe the reason for this is the separation of the spiritual from the social. There is a horrific functional disconnection between the role of the church on Sunday and the condition of hurting people on Monday. Our home became different from most of the other homes in the neighborhood because the connection had been made between the spiritual and the social.
Adopt-A-School Initiative links faith in God and good works for the improvement of life and the lives of others. Through AASI, we seek to multiply over and over the transformation that happened to me and in the lives of hundreds of thousands of youth and families throughout America.
